Peppermint is playful, curious, and very smart! She loves people and playing with other dogs— she’d be great in a household with other animals. She’s sweet and likes cuddles. ❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!Adoption processA potential adopter will submit a application. A vet reference is very helpful and will speed the adoption process along. Once approved, a phone interview will be conducted and the adopter will sign a contract. Transport will then be scheduled to bring the new pet home.Shelter locationThe majority of our dogs/cats are fostered in Alabama. We have wonderful foster families that contact all applicants to answer any additional questions or provide more photos and videos. Once a application is approved our dogs/cats are transported north to their new families. We use a private transport that is USDA certified and Licensed. All dogs are fully vetted and will travel with a Alabama Health Certificate and their medical records. We are a 501C3 rescue. We can offer references upon request.
